John Foley

John Foley, Principal and Founding Partner of Cunningham & Foley, now CFB. Foley has over 12 years experience in commercial real estate, including development, site selection, office and retail leasing, and property acquisition/disposition services. Currently he is a candidate member of CCIM Institute pursuing the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation.

Foley began his career in commercial real estate and property development with Magnolia Land Company, which has been in business for over one-hundred years and was instrumental in the founding of Foley, Alabama. He still serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors.

Foley serves on numerous boards including the South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, Vision Bank, Boys and Girls Advisory Board, Bayside East Campus Board, and is on the Vestry of Saint Paul's Episcopal Church in Magnolia Springs, Alabama. He is a graduate of both Bayside Academy and Birmingham-Southern College.

Principal / Broker - Over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate, with exposure to corporate clients, various ownership entities, local and national brokers, and large regional commercial real estate firms.

Barnes was formerly a vice president with Colonial Properties Trust, a Birmingham-based REIT. Prior to Colonial Properties Trust, Barnes served as director of marketing for Atlanta-based Carter & Associates; responsibilities consisted of leasing and marketing of all Carter-managed commercial properties in Birmingham . Ownership entities consisted of INVESCO Realty Advisors, ALFA Insurance, Equitable Insurance, and CSL Associates.

Barnes earned his CCIM designation in 1998 and has served on the Board of Directors for the Alabama Chapter of CCIM. Other affiliations include a 10-year association with the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), past NAIOP - Alabama president, Metropolitan Development Board of Birmingham Board of Directors, and member of The Birmingham Business Journal's Top 40 under 40 class of 2002. Since relocating to Baldwin County in March, 2003, Barnes has become affiliated with the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) the Baldwin County Commercial and Industrial Exchange (BCIE) and Boys and Girls Advisory Board.

Barnes graduated from the University of Alabama in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Commerce and Business Administration.

Joe Everson joined the CFB team in 2003 from Atlanta , GA. Since joining CFB, Everson has specialized in all facets of Commercial Real Estate including site selection and assemblage, financial analysis, acquisitions and dispositions and market analysis. Everson brings 10 years of commercial real estate experience garnered with investment sales firms such as Grubb & Ellis Company and Cushman Wakefield as well as managing commercial real estate portfolios for The Federal Home Loan Bank of Atlanta . Everson was part of two top producing Multi-Family Investment Groups at Grubb & Ellis and Cushman Wakefield. During his terms, Everson assisted in the underwriting and marketing of nearly $1Billion in combined assets in more than 20 markets across the United States . At the Federal Home Loan Bank he was responsible for managing commercial real estate and securities portfolios for more than 200 banks throughout the Southeast. Everson began his career with G. Randall Hammond & Co., a commercial real estate and appraisal firm where he conducted commercial appraisals and assisted with development feasibility consultation for various development entities.

Everson received his BBA in Real Estate from the University of Georgia which boasts one of the Top 5 Real Estate programs in the United States . Everson also received his Master of Science in Real Estate Degree (MSRE) from Georgia State University . The MSRE program at Georgia State is one of only two universities in the United States whose graduates are allowed accreditation with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
